Our basic idea behind taking part in this competition was not just winning it but also the noble cause of helping our community and our environment, i.e. People and Planet. We exist in a society which has given us so much and because of which we exist. So, it becomes our duty to pay back for what all we get from it. Identifying a BUSINESS OPPORTUNITY
was difficult. We did surveys to identify the local demand, taste and preferences. After a lot of groundwork, the business of cloth bags looked lucrative. When we started production, a ban on plastic bags by Delhi Govt. gave impetus to our business. Moreover, those ladies who were employed belong to EWS category (Economically Weaker Section) and the earnings from the sale of these bags helped them a little. The smile on the faces of these ladies motivated us in our endeavour. We look forward to more such efforts in the future.
